Veteran's Day Open House, Night Fire IV at the Idaho Military History Museum. Featuring: Blank Firing Demo of Military Weapons, from the Civil War to the Global War on Terror.

The Museum will celebrate Veterans Day with a series of weapons demonstrations and a special night fire. The gates open at 4:00 p.m., the small arms demonstrations begin at 5:00 p.m.

In honor of Veterans’ Day, the southwestern area offices are joining forces to hold the 2nd Annual “Hire Vets First” Job Fair on November 4, 2008 from 1100-1500 at the Meridian School District Service Center (Old Jabil Bldg) located at 1303 E. Central Drive, Meridian, Idaho.

Idaho National Guard Army Aviation will provide a UH-60 Blackhawk static display for Red Ribbon Week.

Idaho Air National Guard will provide an A-10 Fly-over for the start of the Boise State vs Fresno football game.

This year's Veterans Day Parade will take place Saturday, Nov 8th at 10am in Downtown Boise.

The Parade will begin a the corner of 10th and Bannock Streets and proceeds east to the corner of 5th and Jefferson Streets, then south to the corner of 5th and Idaho Streets, and to the west to the corner of 11th and Idaho Streets where it will end.

All branches of the Armed Forces and nearly all veterans' organizations will be represented. Also participating will be all nine Boise high school and junior high school marching bands, ROTC units, Girl Scouts, Sea Cadets, Young Marines and a variety of other organizations and club all in a salute to American's veterans. Dignitaries from local cities, counties, and state governments will also be in the parade. No commercial floats, businesses or advertising is allowed.

The theme this year's parade is, "Honoring All Who Served." In addition to honoring Veterans, there is no better way to publicly demonstrate our support our support of Idaho's Young men and women currently serving in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard then by coming out and viewing the parade.

Idaho Army National Guard will have a Blackhawk on static display. The Idaho National Guard color guard will post the colors prior to the event.

Idaho National Guard will provide a military ambulance and the Military History Museum will provide a vehicle for static display for Veterans Day Assembly.

Army National Guard will provide an AH-64 Apache for static display in support of Veterans Day.

Idaho Army National Guard will provide a UH-60 Blackhawk for static display at the Shoshone school from 8:45 - 12:30. Then they will be at the Dietrich football field from 1:00 - 3:00 in support of Veterans Day.
