Course Scope
The 19D MOS-T Phase I is the same for 19D(HMMWV) and 19D(M3). For TY08 this phase is taught in 2 modes. If you enroll in class 001 it is a NON-RESIDENT (done from home, Office, library ect…) distance learning class that is expected to be taken within 6 months of phase II. The other classes that are 5 day dL classes are conducted in Resident mode at the 1-204th RTI(AR). Phase I (dL) is a Web based distance learning course that is hosted by the UNIVERSITY OF MOUNTED WARFARE through the Learning Management System at Ft. Knox KY. The University of Mounted Warfare log-in is pulled from Army Knowledge Online, it is imperative that you are able to log-in to AKO with your current Username and Password.

The 19D (M3) MOS-T Phase II is 16 days in duration with day 1 and 16 scheduled as travel and processing. The course is performance oriented and designed to qualify individual students in MOS 19D(M3). Phase II instruction includes demolitions, communications, land navigation, weapons, and all vehicle specific tasks on an M3-series vehicle such as maintenance and operation. There are approximately 139 hours of training with the majority conducted as hands on practical exercises.

Course Prerequisites
Soldier must have completed Basic Training as a member of any US Military Service (Active or Reserve Component), must meet the requirements prescribed in DA Pam 611-21 for MOS 19D (Min Physical PLUHES-111121) (ASVAB-CO 90) (AHRC), rank PVT(E-1) through SFC(E-7) or have an approved OCOA waiver, and must be qualified in an MOS other than 19D.

Phase 1 (dL) must be completed before taking Phase 2. Solders have up to 6 months to complete the Phase I (dL), a Phase 2 registration is required in ATRRS to identify the 6 month window. Soldier must complete the two phases of the course within one year from registration in ATRRS.

19CMF MOS-T courses Soldiers that fail to meet Body Fat composition of AR 600-9 will be allowed to attend the course and if they pass academically they will be considered an Academic Course Graduate and receive a DA 1059, but item 11.C. of the DA 1059 will be marked Marginally Achieved Course Standards and item 14 comment will be annotated Failed to meet body fat compositions.

Soldiers with a valid permanent physical profile must provide a copy during in-processing. Students with a temporary profile will not attend the course. It is required to have a civilian driver license and is recommended to bring there DA form 348 or military drivers license.
